BlueLinx carries a large range of fiberglass rolls & batts or blankets, loose-fill insulation, rigid foam insulation, and foam-in-place insulation. As part of an integrated approach to weatherization and improvement for a more energy efficient building, we have a variety of housewraps to provide a continuous, protective membrane that can cover cracks and gaps between exterior sheathing and seams of rigid foam insulation. Our plastic-wrapped light-density batts and rolls offer easy handling and convenient installation with less itch and dust. We have insulation for use in walls, floors, crawl spaces, attics, and ceilings. BlueLinx also carries products like construction tape, sill pans, sill foam gaskets, and straight and flexible flashing to meet all your insulation installation needs.

Rolls & batts or blankets

Flexible products made from mineral fibers such as fiberglass and rock wool. They are available in widths suited to standard spacings of wall studs and attic or floor joists, 2’ x 4’ walls can hold R-13 or R-15 batts; 2’ x 6’ walls can have R-19 or R-21 products.

Loose-fill insulation

Loose fibers or fiber pellets made of fiberglass, rock wool, or cellulose: It should be blown into spaces using special pneumatic equipment. Loose-fill insulation conforms readily to building cavities and attics making it well suited for places where it is difficult to install other types of insulation.

Rigid foam insulation

While often more expensive than fiber insulation; it’s very effective in areas with space limitations and where higher R-values are needed. R-values range from R-4 to R-6.5 per inch of thickness: up to two times greater than most other insulating materials of the same thickness.

Foam-in-place insulation

Can be blown into walls and reduces air leakage if blown into cracks, such as around window and door frames.
